FINCA Jordan two clients won Citigroup Award to Small Entrepreneurs in 2015
The Citi- Entrepreneur Award recognizes the micro-entrepreneurs’ efforts to strengthen their business and to support and motivate them in the society.

The ceremony starts with a speech from the event sponsors speaking about the importance of small micro-finance in Jordan. Later, the “ The Award of Excellence” winners together with some representatives of Citi and Jordan River Foundation (JRF) had a 30 minutes talk show discussed the importance of microfinance and different MFI’s institutions in enhancing their businesses through helping the community in creating jobs, higher their living standards and being productive.

In a special recognition, CITI and JRF representatives awarded all Jordan MFI’s- Including FINCA Jordan- for their special contributions.

Mrs.Suzan Al-Omary won “The Award of Excellence”,for her tremendous achievements in creating jobs, having a successful business and being enrolled with the community.

Mrs. Al-Omary is one of FINCA Jordan clients from North Shouna branch. She has a factory for natural citrus peels Jams production – one of the most important and successful businesses in her area- where she is depending on healthy natural products of recycled citrus peels that is available in huge quantities in North Shauna farms.
She won the award because she sustained and developed her businesses, created jobs to many local people from her community in North Shouna and also, she trained young- aged people to be enrolled and hired.

Another winner in the “Service Category”,Mrs. Nadia Marian ,who is an active client took an individual loan from Irbid branch. Mrs.Nadia has a fitness center called “Roza” where the ladies registered their memberships at the health club with little fees.” Roza “has a nutrition Specialist to support ladies in losing their weights and it became the most popular fitness center in the area.

FINCA Jordan began operating in the Kingdom in late 2007, by opening our first market office under the patronage of her majesty -Queen Rania Al Abdullah- who is a FINCA International Director Emeritus. We continued expansion and disbursing loans from nine branches in various regions of Jordan- Amman, Al-Zarqa’, Jerash, Dair-Allah, Sahab, North Shonah, Irbid and Madaba.

Since establishment until today, FINCA Jordan disbursed over than One hundred thousand loans with a total value exceeded eighty million dollars to its clients from micro and small businesses.
