FINCA Microfinance Company PLC in Jordan (FINCA Jordan), FINCA Impact Finance’s subsidiary in Jordan, announced it received Smart Certification in recognition of its long-standing commitment to client protection. This designation came after a rigorous independent review process found it has continued to uphold industry-leading client protection standards in providing responsible finance.
This certificate includes a set of international standards, among which is providing a service or product that is compatible with the client’s needs and caring in providing information transparently to the clients ,considerate into client’s over indebtedness, providing services that meets with our clients with our clients, maintaining confidentiality of information, and providing channels for submitting complaints.
FINCA Jordan joins FINCA Impact Finance subsidiaries in Armenia, Ecuador, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua and Pakistan, in receiving this designation from the Smart Campaign, a global initiative promoting prudent, transparent and respectful treatment of clients.

Earlier this year, FINCA Jordan also launched its new core banking system that will allow for the subsidiary to offer digital support for clients, bringing the company to the next level of client service provision.
In line with FINCA Jordan strategy in continuous development and improvement, and applying of global best practices, FINCA Jordan is now taking a new model in its work method especially in terms of disbursing loans and collection to be more centralized which helps to save time, effort and money on both clients and the company, to be more responsive to the requirements and needs of its clients.

The Smart Campaign, an initiative of The Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion, is a global effort to unite microfinance leaders around a common goal: to keep clients as the driving force of the industry. The Campaign’s Client Protection Principles were developed in 2008 and are intended to protect clients, businesses and the industry as a whole.
